How Time Flows for Angels

An Angel's sense of time is very different compared to a human's, with one Angelic Year [Called an Astronomical, or 'Astron' for short] equaling 28 earthling years.

One Astron has 7 seasons, with each roughly lasting 4 earthling years, each marked by celestial events that will mark the start and end of a season.

The Seasons are as follows:

Echo - Echo is actually 2 seasons, but are grouped together to create 'The Season of the Echos'. The official names of the 2 seasons are Rime and Eve. These seasons are of complete darkness. DuskVeil - The season before 'The seasons of Echos.' A spooky season. Dawn's Lullaby - The season after 'The seasons of the Echos'. A peaceful hopeful season. Harvaststar - The sort of 'Fall' for angels; comes before Duskveil. Vernaltide - The sort of 'Spring' for angels; comes after Dawn's Lullaby SummerSoak - A time of all light, its one of the most beloved seasons for many angels.

Holidays

Angels do not really have many holidays....or holidays in general, but the few they do have are normally like grand festivals; with games, a feast, treats, and special events. In total there are 6 holidays/festivals per Astron.

They are as follows:

The Carnival of Hues and Glow

During the Season of Echos, the angels hold a grain festival known as The Carnival of Hues and Glow. Its the most colorful and playful of the holidays; with singing, music, acrobatic sky 'dancing', and playfully attacking each other with colorful powders and dyes.

It's a 4-day festival and ends with a huge grand glowing display with songs being sung.

Competition of the Sky

After the Season of Echos, there is a race held on the first dawn after it. It's a brutal race, that warriors and such angels partake in.

Fair of Fire

A Festival of colorful fires with song and many theater like play being preformed

Fest of Vitality

A celebration of new life, it is when the Forges are given the remains of those gone and the sheddings of the wings and such to create new life.

Holiday of Light

During the first days of Summersoak, the angels celebrate the time of all light with golden hues painted on their bodies. It is about how The Great Seraph brought light and freedom to all angels, as well as their love for the people.
